Free Write Friday – Synchronicity

This week’s prompt has a special significance for me, although Kellie has not made any claims to being psychic. So, that is why I have named this poem –

Synchronicity

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”
― Steve MaraboliLife, the Truth, and Being Free

I release

let go

the moments are over

Let the tears

flow freely

all dreams

come to an end

All work

passes

seldom receives

the value

for time and energy

expended

Release

let go

don’t hold on

All things pass

all dreams

dissolve

The universe hands me

this moment to smile

I’m moving on

darkness is gone

Light kisses my face

I am awake.

  1. An inspiring poem, I am sorry to hear your news, from my experience it all happens for a reason although it often takes a long time to realise it – as there is always some kind of universal hold up! (Beyond us not forgiving ourselves.)

    Loved these lines – all so true, I started with just copying these;

    All work

    passes

    seldom receives

    the value

    for time and energy

    expended

    The universe hands me

    this moment to smile

    / stay awake.

  2. Beautiful words. I love the last line and the comments about work passing unnoticed. I hope you move on to a better work situation.

  3. HUGS to you … I know this was close and painful, but you are valued and so is your writing. These words touched my heart:

    The universe hands me

    this moment to smile

    I’m moving on

    darkness is gone

    Keep writing toward the light!

  4. Sweet work, Sky, sharing stories in their short form…. It must be getting late there now, enjoy the morning when you wake. Love today’s write!

  5. Spectacular piece of writing. The ability to pick ourselves and move on is what matters the most.

    “Light kisses my face

    I am awake.”–Brilliant.

  6. Sorry to hear that your former school is losing their perfect health care provider. But, you are blessed and the Most High wants you to move on to his/her positive situation for you. You always win!!

  7. I am sooooooo happy to know that my prompt was able to ‘show’ you something you needed and allowed you a release. This is beautiful! I love the ending, it speaks and encourages:
    “The universe hands me

    this moment to smile

    I’m moving on

    darkness is gone

    Light kisses my face

    I am awake.”
