All Things Alaska #2
August 9, 2013
Evening sun bursts through dissipating clouds
Blue sky blesses grey sky weary day
Waves roll ashore
Crows gather and convene on beach
rest on driftwood like a church congregation
caw caw cawing sings out
Air a cool fan on face
blushes in warming sun
walk on Bishop Beach
in Homer’s Old Town

What a lot of crows! Your poem captures the feeling of walking in an old ruined places surrounded by crows perfectly.
Thanks, Suzanne. I wrote the poem the day I took the photo. Alaska is a bird haven at times. We have ravens too.
I love your posts about Alaska, Skywalker – the water, waves, and wild life are always present and so richly described.
Thanks, Carol. It is a beautiful place and I love sharing it.
