Muhammad Mahmoud Odeh Abu Al-Thahir, 16 years old, was shot and killed by the Israeli military during Nakba Day protests on May 15, 2014 in the West Bank town of Betunia. Nadeem Siam Nuwara, 17 years old, was also killed on the same day. Both Al-Thahir and Nuwara were protesting Israel’s use of administrative detention, in a demonstration near Ofer military prison, when they were shot.

In the video below, Muhammad’s family remembers him and talk about what his loss means to them.

The night before Muhammad was killed, his father recalls that they were sitting on the roof, and Muhammad told his father about some of his ambitions.
