Redefining Wealth: A 21st Century Perspective
Has someone ever said this to you, “It’s all about you.” Or have you said, “It’s all about me?” Well, it is. Everything is about me, about what I think arising from experience, education, and emotions. Science, from physics to science of the mind, has proven that through the power of thought we do create our own world. So let’s take a brief look at me.
I can get distracted. I can be impatient. My feelings can get hurt. I can get frustrated. I can feel under appreciated. I can spend too much money.
I don’t yell in anger. I don’t slam doors on problems. I don’t get into credit card debt. I don’t bury my head in the sand to the pain in the world. But, I don’t let what I cannot immediately change overwhelm me.
Yes, I am a mass of opposites, but I understand this makes me one with the universe. We know that all that exists is comprised of endless energy flowing in all directions. My energy, my thought, leads me to recognize wholistic wisdom that manifests sacred wealth.
A 21st Century Perspective
Somehow, the promise of the 21st century got hijacked. First were apocalyptic fears of the entry into a new century. Then we were overwhelmed by 911. But now it’s time to put on the brakes and remember, this is the Age of Aquarius. A world that can invent artificial hearts can end wars and violence. Our wealth is that we are all human beings inextricably linked to each other for our survival and happiness.
The wealth of the 21st Century transcends bank balances and stock portfolios. It is the wealth of the millions who marched around the world to protect the environment; it is the wealth of the millions crying out, protesting, and petitioning to end violence from the bombings in the Middle East to the murder of young black men in the streets of the USA. It is the wealth of young entrepreneurs and scientists developing products and businesses that assist underserved communities around the world.
Redefintion
In this 21st Century we define wealth as a sacred process that recognizes the infinite value of all that lives, creatively shares, and compassionately distributes the abundance of this planet to empower, uplift, and enlighten every living being.
So eloquently-said, Skywalker! “A world that can invent artificial hearts can end wars and violence. Our wealth is that we are all human beings inextricably linked to each other for our survival and happiness.”
