In my experience, this is so true, Skywalker.
If only kindness was rewarded in America’s working society for the most part. When I do good outside of work, I am happy. I smile. Someone else will smile. Great reward. But when I show kindness at work (doing something beyond my scope – yet it’s the right thing to do) I am told “I am too nice.” What is that all about? I will continue to do as I always do and when death is upon me, I will know that I was never too kind – but just right.
